Our Story
Old School DeLand. New School Flair.
A Name Worth Living Up To
For over forty years, this corner of downtown DeLand was home to Bellini's, a beloved Italian deli and restaurant that fed generations of locals from 1978 until 2021.
After Bellini's, this building became the final home of Hunter's Restaurant, DeLand's oldest eatery. The Hunter family had served this town since 1949, seventy three years of scrambled eggs, sourdough toast, and regulars who came back every single Sunday. When Hunter's closed its doors for good in 2022, it left a hole in DeLand.
Our name is our way of keeping that legacy at the table. Hunters & Gatherers is a direct homage to the Hunter family and the seventy three years they gave this town, built with our own scratch cooking, bold flavors, and a place for everyone who sits down.
